Uddina Hittu
You will need:
Uddina Bele (Urad/Black Gram)- 2 tbsp
Curd - 1 Cup
Ginger - 1 inch (chopped finely)
Green Chilli - 1 -2 (chopped finely)
Hing - 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Sendige Menasu Seasoning
For Sendige Menasu Seasoning:
Sendige Menasu (Sendige Munchi/Green chilli marinated in Curd and dried) - 4
Oil - 2 tsp
Saasive (Rai/Mustard) - 1 tsp
Menthe (Methe/Fenugreek) - 4-5 grains
Skill level: Easy
Goes well with: Rice
Cooking Time: 10-15 mins
Tip: If Sendige Menasu is not available, use the regular red chilli (Byadagi Mensasu)

For Sendige Menasu Seasoning:
Sendige Menasu (Sendige Munchi/Green chilli marinated in Curd and dried) - 4
Oil - 2 tsp
Saasive (Rai/Mustard) - 1 tsp
Menthe (Methe/Fenugreek) - 4-5 grains
- Roast urad dal in a thick bottom pan for about 5 mins or until the urad changes its color to light brown
- Powder this in a mixer
- In a vessel, add curd, ginger, green chilli, hing and salt
- Add the powdered Urad dal and mix well
- Add the Sendige Menasu seasoning - refer to glossary page
Skill level: Easy
Goes well with: Rice
Cooking Time: 10-15 mins
