Sajiige Rotti

Late in the night if I still don't know what to make for breakfast or if there is a lot of curd at home, this is the easiest thing to do. 

You will need:
Medium Sajjige (Rava or semolina) - 2 Cups
Curd - 2 Cups
Onion - 1/2 cup (chopped) - 1 no.
Tomato - 1/2 cup (chopped) - 1 no.  
Green chilli - 3-6 no. based on the spice level (crushed/chopped finely)
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup (chopped)
Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
Coconut - 1/4 cup (grated. Optional)
Salt to taste

Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients into a very thick batter. The consistency has to be such that the batter can be spread on the tawa with your hand
  • Heat a dose tawa
  • Smear tawa with a little oil
  • Use your hand as a ladle and spread the batter on the tawa
  • Close the lid and let the dose cook for about 2 -3 mins
  • Turn over the dose and let it cook on the other side too (without the lid)
  • Serve it hot with any coconut chutney
Makes about 6-8 dose
