Vegetable Saagu

I found this recipe in http://ruchii-madhu.blogspot.com/2006/11/set-dosa-and-sagu.html . It was a Super Hit at home. So thought of sharing this here.

You will need:

Mixed Veggies - 4 Cups (Potato -2, Carrot -1, Beans -10, Tomato -1, Capsicum-1, Cauliflower- 10 florets)
Onion - 2 (Chopped finely)
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Seasoning - 

Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Black Gram - 1 tsp
Bengal Gram - 1 tsp
Red Chillies - 1 
Curry leaves - 5- 8 leaves

Masala -
Corainder Seeds - 2 tsp
Poppy Seeds - 2 tsp
Clove - 2 no.s
Cinnamon - 2 inch
Roasted Chickpeas - 2 tsp
Coconut - 2 tbsp

Masala: 
Roast Coriander seeds, Poppy seeds, Clove and Cinnamon. Grind this along with roasted Chickpeas and coconut and keep aside.

Heat oil in a Pan (Kadai).
Add mustard seeds, black gram, bengal gram, Red Chillies, Curry leaves.
Add Onion and Saute for about 2-3 minutes
Add Tomatoes and other cut veggies and saute for 5 minutes.
Add Salt and Turmeric Powder and saute for 5 minutes.
Add the ground masala when the veggies are half cooked.
Cook until all the veggies are cooked well.

The Saagu is ready to be served along with Poori or Set Dose.
