Batate mosaru bajji

Batate is the name used for Potato in the Udupi and Mangalore districts. This can be made very quickly. I usually make it for dinners when there is not enough Sambar or palya (dry veggies) for all of us. This has been my savior at many many occasions. 

You will need: 
Potato - 2
Onion - 1 Chopped finely
Green Chilli - 1 slit open
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch chopped
Curds - 2 Cups (called Mosaru in Kannada).
Salt to Taste

Urad dal Seasoning

Boil Potato, smash and keep aside. 

Cut Onion, green chilli and Coriander leaves.
Add to smashed potato. 
Add Salt, curd and seasoning.

Goes very well with Rice only. 

 Serves about 4 people
